Board of Director, Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

  • I am an excellent candidate for the UWSA Board of Directors because, as a committed student with a solid academic foundation in psychology and disability, I have developed my critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership abilities. I've been able to analyze complicated issues, comprehend various viewpoints, and make deliberate decisions thanks to my academic journey, as well as skills that are crucial for successfully defending the interests of students.

I have worked with instructors and administration to strengthen campus programs and fight for the needs of student’s mental health through my active participation in student organizations, like the mental health association club. My capacity to arbitrate conflicts and seek solutions that benefit the entire student body has improved because of these positions.

Furthermore, I now have a deeper awareness of student well-being, mental health, and academic stress thanks to my studies in Psychological Disorders. I have also completed a University of Windsor workshop. These topics are all important in developing university regulations. I can promote evidence-based solutions that improve student success because of my ability to evaluate policies and their effects. Outside of the classroom, I have helped with faculty-led projects and team-based research projects, which has helped me improve my cooperation and organizing abilities. These experiences have equipped me to assume a leadership position where I can successfully ensure that student concerns are handled by bridging the gap between administration and students. I will contribute commitment, wisdom, and a strong student-centered approach to the UWSA Board of Directors if elected.

  • If I am elected to the UWSA Board of Directors, I will concentrate on projects that improve teacher academic performance, mental health support, and student involvement. Increasing access to peer support groups, wellness courses, and counseling services on campus is one of my top goals when it comes to mental health resources. For students to succeed academically and personally, a more encouraging atmosphere where they may freely talk about any issue is necessary. In order to promote career readiness, academic assistance, and networking opportunities, I will also make an effort to improve the relationships between students and faculty by putting in place mentorship programs that match students with instructors or experts in their field. In order to provide students with the tools they need to succeed, there will also be an emphasis on improving academic support services by advocating for additional research opportunities, tutoring programs, and study areas. In order to meet the demands of a wide range of students, I will also promote flexible learning choices. To further ensure that all opinions are heard in faculty decision-making, I will occasionally host student forums and feedback sessions as part of my commitment to advancing inclusion and representation. I'll put in a lot of effort to make sure that faculty initiatives meet the needs of students and enhance their academic experience by promoting an environment of openness, cooperation, and student-centered policymaking.

  • It takes a dedication to cooperation, candid communication, and respect for one another to establish good working relationships among the UWSA Board, general members, and UWindsor administration. I want to foster an atmosphere where everyone feels heard and respected by encouraging open communication and active participation. Everyone will have the chance to express their concerns, offer ideas, and work toward shared objectives if frequent meetings and open forums are established. In order to guarantee that student perspectives are incorporated into university decision-making, I will also promote cross-disciplinary collaboration by reinforcing ties between student leaders, professors, and administration. Team-building activities that promote accountability, trust, and shared responsibility among participants will be my top priority.  I also understand how crucial diplomacy and conflict resolution are in work environments. If there are conflicts, I will support productive dialogue that aims to discover answers rather than widen gaps. In addition, I will prioritize student representation and advocacy, making sure that the UWSA Board stays student-centered while maintaining a solid and professional relationship with UWindsor administration. I will contribute to the development of a cooperative and progressive leadership team that successfully meets the needs of students while fostering partnerships at all levels of the university by approaching problems with a solution-oriented perspective and a dedication to inclusivity.

  • In order to represent student interests, promote a feeling of community, and guarantee that student opinions are heard during university decision-making, the University of Windsor Students' Alliance (UWSA) is essential. It acts as a liaison between administration, professors, and students, promoting laws and programs that improve the general educational experience. The UWSA fosters a more welcoming and encouraging campus community by assisting students in overcoming financial obstacles, mental health issues, and academic difficulties through programs, events, and services. My decision to run in the general elections of 2025 stems from my strong commitment to supporting students and improving their time at university. I see the value of academic assistance, student well-being, and institutional transparency as a psychology and disability student. My involvement in group projects and student organizations has equipped me to assume a leadership position where I can help bring about significant change. I am excited to contribute to projects that enhance academic resources, mental health support, and student participation because I think that student governance should be proactive, responsive, and student focused. I intend to increase student concerns, improve student-faculty interactions, and open up new avenues for development and achievement by joining the UWSA Board of Directors. In order to make sure that every student in my faculty feels heard, supported, and empowered, I am committed to creating a more transparent, inclusive, and successful student government. I will put in endless effort to advocate for the interests of students and promote significant change on campus if elected.
