Engineering Rep.

I would prioritize establishing regular forums for students to voice their concerns and suggestions. These forums would create an open platform where engineering students can share their experiences, ensuring their perspectives are integral to decision-making processes within the faculty and the UWSA. I aim to foster a safe and welcoming environment that encourages participation from all students, particularly underrepresented groups.
In addition to the forums, I would implement a digital suggestion box for anonymous feedback, promoting transparency and inclusivity. To ensure these suggestions are acted upon, I would propose a bi-monthly "Student-Faculty Feedback Report" where key concerns and actions taken are shared with the student body, building accountability. I would collaborate with faculty members to address common challenges identified during these sessions, focusing on curriculum improvements, resource allocation, and extracurricular opportunities.
Another initiative I’d support is the creation of a mentorship program, pairing upper-year engineering students with first and second-year students, to help them navigate through their academic challenges and build stronger networks within the faculty.
By prioritizing student input and fostering a collaborative environment, I aim to create a more enriching academic experience and a stronger sense of community within the Faculty of Engineering. My initiatives will empower students, ensuring their voices are heard and acted upon, ultimately leading to meaningful improvements in their educational journey.

To build positive relationships within the UWSA Board, members at large, and UWindsor administration, my approach would focus on clear communication and collaboration. I believe that everyone should feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, so I would encourage regular discussions where we can talk openly about concerns, ideas, and goals. This would create a supportive environment where everyone feels included.
I also plan to stay approachable, ensuring that students know they can reach out to me anytime. I will make sure that any information or updates I share are clear and accessible to everyone, while also respecting privacy and only sharing what is permissible. This way, students can stay informed about important decisions that affect them without any confusion or misunderstanding.
When working with the administration, I would focus on cooperation and finding solutions that benefit students. By keeping communication open and respectful, I hope to strengthen the connection between students and the university, ensuring that we can work together to address challenges and improve the student experience.

The University of Windsor Students' Association (UWSA) is incredibly important for our campus community. It acts as a voice for students, making sure their needs and concerns are addressed at all levels of university governance. By serving as a bridge between students and the administration, the UWSA helps facilitate communication, ensuring that students are not just heard but actively involved in decisions that impact their academic and social experiences.
Beyond advocacy, the UWSA offers a wide range of services, resources, and support systems designed to help students succeed. From academic advising to mental health resources, the UWSA is dedicated to empowering students to navigate their university journey confidently. These resources play a crucial role in enhancing both academic performance and overall well-being. Moreover, the UWSA fosters a sense of community and belonging on campus. It encourages students to engage in extracurricular activities, from clubs and events to volunteer opportunities, helping to create a vibrant campus life. By promoting leadership opportunities, the UWSA enables students to develop important skills that will benefit them in their future careers.
In essence, the UWSA is more than just an organization; it is a vital partner in shaping a positive university experience. By advocating for students’ needs and promoting their well-being, the UWSA plays a key role in making the University of Windsor a supportive and enriching environment for all students.

As a candidate for the Director of Faculty Engineering, I bring hands-on experience in leadership and collaboration. At Vistaprint, as an Industrial Engineering Co-op Student, I worked on optimizing equipment deployment and improving manufacturing processes. I collaborated with cross-functional teams, learning how to communicate across departments to achieve common goals—essential skills for representing engineering students effectively. During my Elevate internship, I gained experience in 3D part design, additive manufacturing, and working with external organizations like the WeSpark Health Organization. A highlight from this experience is designing and 3D printing products for their health research conference, which has improved my ability to coordinate with outside teams and apply innovative technologies. This strengthened my communication and problem-solving skills.
Beyond my internships, I enjoy volunteering during Frosh Week, which has been one of the most rewarding experiences. I love engaging with first-year students, helping them navigate through their first week of school, and making sure they feel welcomed and supported in the engineering community. Being part of Frosh Week gives me the chance to connect with new students and offer guidance as they begin their journey at UWindsor.
These experiences have not only strengthened my skills but also my passion for supporting and representing engineering students. As Director of Faculty Engineering, I will advocate for student needs, foster stronger connections within the community, and work to create a supportive, inclusive environment for all.
