UWSA Volunteer of the Year

We are pleased to offer the UWSA Volunteer of the Year award, awarded to a full-time undergraduate student who has taken part in events and initiatives within the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance throughout the year. This student will have contributed toward making the UWSA better fulfill its mission to represent, advocate and serve.

  • Must be a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate student at the University of Windsor.

  • Please provide a statement, no more than 500 words, explaining why you believe the nominee is deserving of the UWSA Volunteer of the Year award. Detail the nominee's active participation in events and initiatives under the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance throughout the year. Highlight how their contributions have helped the UWSA better fulfill its mission to represent, advocate for, and serve the student body. Include examples that demonstrate leadership, commitment, and a positive impact on the UWSA community.

“Golden W" Award of Excellence

We are pleased to offer the "Golden W" Award of Excellence, awarded to the full-time undergraduate student who has excelled in extra-curricular activities and has shown leadership for the benefit of students at the University of Windsor.

  • Must be a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate student at the University of Windsor.

  • Please provide a statement, no more than 500 words, justifying why the nominee deserves the "Golden W" Award of Excellence. Focus on the nominee’s exceptional involvement in extra-curricular activities and their demonstrated leadership that has significantly benefitted the student body at the University of Windsor. Emphasize instances of leadership, commitment to community, and any initiatives that have enhanced the student experience or university environment.

  • Extra-curricular Excellence

    • Detail the extra-curricular activities the nominee has been involved in, including any clubs, organizations, sports, or volunteer work within or related to the University of Windsor.

    • Highlight the nominee’s level of involvement, responsibilities, and achievements in these activities.

  • Please provide a statement, no more than 500 words, justifying why the nominee is deserving of the Student of the Year Award. Highlight their unselfish contributions to enhancing campus life and how they embody the spirit of an outstanding member of the University of Windsor community. Describe specific instances of service, leadership, community involvement, and other activities that have positively impacted the university environment and its members.

We are pleased to offer the Board Member of the Year Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement by an individual member of the UWSA Board of Directors who has shown leadership, commitment, and representation of their respective constituents and undergrad students in general.

  • Confirm that the nominee is a current member of the UWSA Board of Directors, actively serving in their role at the time of nomination. This award is exclusively for those who are presently fulfilling their duties as UWSA Board members.

  • Please provide a statement, no more than 500 words, on why the nominee should be recognized as the Board Member of the Year. This award celebrates outstanding achievement, leadership, commitment, and representation by an individual on the UWSA Board of Directors. Your nomination should clearly demonstrate how the nominee has excelled in these areas, specifically focusing on their contributions to representing their constituents and the undergraduate student body as a whole.
