Board of Governors

  • It is my goal to bring student opinions to the forefront, advocate and uphold student-led initiatives, and ensure your voices are heard. Now more than ever, we need a student representative who can relay our concerns at the highest level. This university is an institution for the students, and I am committed to making sure that it remains a place where your voices matter and your interests are prioritized. My mission, if elected, is to make sure the voices of students are heard—students who care deeply about this university, which they proudly call home. I, along with my dedicated campaign team, am excited to share our platform with you in the coming week. Together, we can amplify student voices and create meaningful change.

  • As someone who is passionate about student advocacy, I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and am always approachable, which allows me to build meaningful relationships with the students I represent. Whether it's discussing ideas, addressing concerns, or simply connecting with fellow students, I am always ready to listen. My approachable nature allows me to build strong relationships, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts, knowing they will be heard and respected. I believe that understanding the diverse needs and concerns of our student body starts with meaningful conversations, in order to foster a community of transparency, where open dialogue and honest communication are key.

  • The University of Windsor Students’ Alliance (UWSA) is one of the most important organizations on the University campus. The UWSA is an organization that is led by students, for the students. The UWSA is built upon student advocacy, ensuring that every undergraduate student is provided with proper and adequate resources that will enhance their student experience. Some of the most valuable services offered on campus are run by the UWSA that work to empower and aid in the success of all students. In addition, by including representatives on various committees and boards, the UWSA guarantees that student voices are heard and accounted for regarding decisions affecting the student body.

My journey in student representation began in high school, where I proudly served as Student Trustee, representing the entire student body on a similar decision-making board. During my time as Student Trustee, I co-led a Menstrual Hygiene Initiative, successfully advocating for free menstrual hygiene products for womxn, a decision that was implemented thanks to the support of decision-makers. My favourite part of being Student Trustee was serving as the medium between students and the administration, ensuring transparency and relaying concerns in an open and accountable manner.

Now, as a university student, I am involved on campus through various avenues. Apart from being a member of various clubs on campus, I am a peer mentor for first-year political science students, where I lead weekly break-out sessions to help students engage with course material, while also providing them with help with all aspects regarding the university. Additionally, I am employed through the Ignite program, where I help my department recruit new students, host events, and overall increase student engagement. Finally, I serve as a third year representative for my department, a position that allows me to convey the perspectives and voices of other third year students in the political science department.
