I was very fortunate to have served as First Year Representative for the UWSA as well as Chair of the Board. Both roles has allowed me to develop and strengthen transferable skills such as strong leadership, written and oral communication and professionalism.
Within this role, I hope to initiate the idea of introducing more CO-OP programs into a few of the many majors that we offer at the University; doing so would not allow students to get more hands-on experience into their field, but also allow them to further explore their interests as undergraduate degrees often open doors to many different career occupations.
I best believe that positive work relationships are a key factor to an overall good work environment which is why I plan to promote doing so by complying with UWSA bylaws that were set in place to ensure professional work etiquette.
I believe that UWSA is the voice for students. All members all have a common goal; an interest on impacting and bettering the school community.
