2. What specific initiatives and projects would you undertake related to this role?

I would bring up concerns from nursing faculty and students to allow their needs to be met. Being a part of Nursing Society, I am aware of needs and concerns the nursing faculty may have. I will work towards the initiative of making university life easier and comfortable for nursing students. I would undertake projects such as working with Nursing Society to organize events for the Nursing Faculty.

3. How do you plan on facilitating positive work relationships within the UWSA Board, members at large and UWindsor administration?

I plan on facilitating positive work relationships within the UWSA Board by using my communication skills as well as honesty. I will make sure to communicate my needs regarding my roles and responsibilities to my team members. If I am not able to do something or am not able to make it, I will communicate timely and not wait until last minute to inform. I will also ensure to respect and treat all members fairly and kindly. If there is any conflict with a team member, I will approach the situation in a kind and respectful manner to communicate regarding disagreements and make sure to fix any negative tension in the working environment.

4. Describe the importance of the UWSA in your own words

UWSA is an important alliance as it is run by a student body. The members in the UWSA are also students at the University of Windsor which makes understanding the needs of students easier. This also allows to recognize the needs peers of members may have and students will feel more comfortable reaching out to members of UWSA as they are students and understand the struggle. UWSA is also necessary as it recognizes the struggles of student life and works hard to assist students with services, fun events, representation and also advocating for them.
