I am a perfect candidate for this position because I have been involved on campus since my first year here at UWindsor. I am currently serving as Board of Directors in UWSA as Faculty of Business Representative. I also am part of Finance Committee and Student Advocacy Committee. I am also working as the LEAD Student Coordinator under Student Success and Leadership Centre which has allowed me to know UWindsor and other on campus organizations better. Apart from the above-mentioned experiences, I have also interned as a data entry executive in a private firm in India, which has allowed me to handle account books and learn budgeting.
Create a budgeting system that is more transparent and accessible to students, so they can stay informed of the UWSA’s financial activities.
Develop a plan to increase revenue for the UWSA, and allocate those funds to important student initiatives.
Negotiate with vendors (Food Services & Health Plan) to ensure that UWSA members are getting the best deals on products and services.
Collaborate with other student groups and organizations to ensure that the UWSA is working together to support students.
Make Health and Drug Plan, and Buss Pass opt-out process more accessible.
I plan on facilitating positive work relationships within the UWSA Board, members at large, and UWindsor administration by creating an open and positive environment for everyone to communicate freely and openly. I will ensure that everyone is respected and that their opinions are heard. I will also work to provide channels of communication between the board, members at large, and administration to ensure that everyone is up to date on the latest developments. Finally, I will work to create a culture of collaboration and cooperation between all parties, encouraging everyone to work together to achieve the best results for our students.
The UWSA is important because it serves as a voice for students at the University of Windsor. It advocates for students and works to improve their quality of life on campus by advocating for their rights, providing services and programming, and raising awareness about important issues. The UWSA also serves as a bridge between students and the University administration, ensuring that student perspectives are heard and taken into consideration when making important decisions.
