2023 UWSA Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting, also known as AGM, is an annual gathering of the UWSA and its members, full-time undergraduate students at the University of Windsor, that enables the members to put forward proposals or motions for deliberation by the membership.

What's on the Agenda for this meeting?

The agenda contains all the proposals/motions to be deliberated at this year’s annual general meeting. Students interested in attending should familiarize themselves with the agenda prior to the meeting. You can read the agenda here.

Where & When is the meeting this year?

This year’s AGM will be held in the Alumni Auditorium in the Student Centre at 5PM.

Receive a gift card!

All UWSA members that attend the entire AGM (from call-to-order to adjournment) will receive a $15.00 gift card of your choice between Starbucks or Amazon, unless they hold a valid proxy for another member, in which case they will receive the gift card!

CLUBS CAN RECEIVE $100!

The first 35 clubs to register a group of 10 members of their club will receive $100 in funds for their club!

Where can I find everything I need?

  • The Agenda Package and this page has the links and files to everything students need to participate. You can find forms, minutes, motions, and the proposed agenda in this package.


How do I attend the AGM?

  • Register using the form here. Registration closes on March 30th at 5PM.
  • Users must be logged into their UWindsor email to register.
  • Only registered users will receive a link in their UWindsor emails to access the virtual meeting.


How do I submit member proposals/motions?

  • The submission period for member proposals/motions is from March 4, 2021 until March 18, 2021.
  • Member proposals/motions must be submitted using the form here.


Can someone assist me in writing proposals/motions?

  • As per the UWSA By-Laws, two sessions lasting at least 3 hours in length are to be held to assist members in writing motions. These sessions will be held on March 8th, 2023 from 5PM to 8PM and on March 15, 2023 from 2PM to 5PM

Can I have someone attend on my behalf?

  • You can send someone, also known as a proxy, to attend and vote on proposals/motions on your behalf. The proxy form is available here.
