The UWSA’s Womxn’s Centre operates to provide a safe space for women. As we are all staying at home, the Womxn’s Centre has decided to reach out to you in the best way possible: through the internet. This blog is meant to improve women’s experiences by providing a supportive platform to shed light on women’s issues.
The Womxn’s Centre stands to advocate for the fundamental rights of womankind. We are an active pro-choice, feminist space. We work to educate others on the issues women face and to enhance the status of women. Our objectives revolve around improving the lives of women through support and education. We aim to eliminate sexual bias, discrimination, and ignorance that women face in the education system. If you are in need of support, do not hesitate to reach out to us. We offer office hours for anyone who requires some support or just needs to talk.
Starting this blog, Voices of Women, is our way of getting the information about important issues to you! We focus on providing a positive and encouraging online environment for all our students. Voices of Women has the intention to get the research about women out there and in the open. The promotion of women is our priority, which includes you! If you have any experiences you want to share, feel free to reach out to us.
We would love to include student voices in our newly created safe space.
