This is the first call to the UWSA membership, full-time undergraduate students, that the Annual General Meeting has been announced and will be happening virtually this year.
All eligible members are encouraged to register to attend the AGM, and submit a proposal or motion to be deliberated at the meeting.
How to attend
UWSA members, as defined by the UWSA By-Laws, can attend the AGM. To do so, they must register by no later than 5pm on March 30, 2021 via this Microsoft Form. Log-in using your UWindsor credentials is required. Only those UWSA members that submit this form will receive the meeting link to their UWindsor email address.
How to submit member proposals/motions
The submission period for member proposals/motions is from March 4, 2021 until March 18, 2021. Member proposals/motions must be submitted via this Microsoft Form. Log-in using your UWindsor credentials is required. This form is different than the one linked to above.
How to get help writing member proposals/motions
As per the UWSA By-Laws, two sessions lasting at least 3 hours in length are to be held to assist members in writing motions. These sessions will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 and on Saturday March 13, 2021, from 6pm-9pm both days. To attend one of these sessions, please visit this link to register for a 30-minute time slot. A Microsoft Teams link will be emailed to you prior to the meeting.
Incentive to attend
All UWSA members that attend the entire AGM (from call-to-order to adjournment) will receive a $10.00 gift card, unless they hold a valid proxy for another member, in which case they will receive a $15.00 gift card. The proxy form will be sent out with the second notice.
Additionally, each UWSA ratified student group that brings at least 10 members that attend the entire AGM (from call-to-order to adjournment) will receive $150.00 in club funding. The member must specify the ratified student group while completing the ratification form, and no member may specify more than one student group.
