Afrofest is the festival that celebrates the African Diaspora, at the University of Windsor. This February, we’ve taken all 9 events online, spanning over two weeks, with lots of special appearances from notable guests in the local Windsor-Essex community and beyond!
We’re looking for poets who would like to share their writing during our “Poetry Slam” event. Send in your video reading your poem with the subject “Afrofest Poetry Slam Submission” to afrofest@uwindsor.ca. If your poem is selected, it will be aired on Wednesday, Feb 18th during the event and you will receive a $25 Tim Hortons Gift Card!
We’re looking for participants for our Talent Show as well! Send in a video submission with the subject “Afrofest Talent Show Submission” to afrofest@uwindsor.ca. If your video is selected, it will be aired on Feb 26th during our “Closing Ceremony & Talent Show” event and you will receive a $50 Tim Hortons Gift Card!
