The UWSA recognizes individuals from the University of Windsor every year for their effort and contributions on and off campus with awards presented at the annual UWSA Gala, which will be held on April 3rd, 2020!

If you would like to nominate yourself or another student/individual, you can download the form below, fill in who you would like to nominate, have the student/individual complete the Declaration of Acceptance portion, write why the nominee is deserving of the award, and email the completed form to vpss@uwindsor.ca or to the UWSA office (Student Centre, Room 209) no later than March 13th at 4PM.

Awards Up For Nominations

First Year Student Award

Awarded to a student for making an outstanding contribution to student life in their first year.

Dr. Dale Woodyward Student Volunteer Award

Recognizes the volunteer efforts of an individual with the UWSA and the University community during the past year.

The “Gold W” Award of Excellence
Awarded to the full-time undergraduate student who has excelled in extra-curricular activities and has shown leadership for the benefit of students at the University of Windsor.

The Ron lanni Student of the Year Award

Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student who has contributed unselfishly to the enhancement of campus life and exhibited the spirit of being an outstanding member of the University of Windsor community.

UWSA Volunteer of the Year

Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student who has taken part in events and initiatives within the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance throughout the year. This student will have contributed toward making the UWSA better fulfill its mission to represent, advocate and serve.

Global Village Award

Awarded to the undergraduate student who has made significant contributions to humanitarian efforts on a global scale while representing the University of Windsor as an international ambassador.

Non-Student Awards

Excellence in Teaching Award
Recognizes individuals who have been selected by the students as outstanding instructors.
