Advertising with us is simple and easy. We try to make everything as easy and simple as possible, because if your events are successful, that means we’ve done a good job.
To advertise with the UWSA you must be recognized as a group on campus, or registered as a ratified group through the UWSA. Below are specific rules regarding the different means of advertising with UWSA.
Status Updates
If you’d like a message in the status update for the facebook page, simply send an email with a 20 word blurb to the Communications Coordinator. Please note that this blurb will be altered at their discretion. Furthermore, there is a limit of one status update per day, so the facebook page updates are provided on a first come first serve basis.
Links/Comments
The Facebook Page is a forum for students to share ideas, news, and their own updates. Students are free to post any links, pictures, or information on the page that they wish. Be informed that racisit, sexist, or vulgar comments/information will be removed at the dicretion of the Communication coordinator.
Mass Facebook Email
Mass facebook emails are for UWSA business only. Please do not request a mass email, the request will be ignored.
All Student Pulse requests must be received by the Friday before the next edition of the Student Pulse. All submissions to the pulse must be in by Noon on that Friday or they will be ignored, or postponed until the next edition of the pulse (time permitting). The Student Pulse stories will be limited to 75 words, not including the title. You have the option of writing the story yourself, or providing the Communications Coordinator with all pertinent information. Be informed that stories will be accepted on a first come first serve basis, and if the edition of the pulse begins to exceed 675 words, subsequent stories may not be accepted.
Stories for the UWSA news feed will be accepted on an ongoing basis. If you wish to write the story yourself, there is a word limit of 250 words. If you wish for the Communications Coordinator to write a story, please provide a standard press release with all pertainant information, and the story will be considered.
